Monument To The Fallen Sailor

This very personal series of illustrations METASTATIKA by Goran Radošević shows the artist’s relationship with Split’s modern architecture. Through the author’s eyes, we see architecture as vital energy that gives life to space and influences the identity of the author, society, and the city itself. Some landmarks depicted in the illustrations still fulfill their purpose, while others, unfortunately, are forced to simply survive or adapt to present trends.

The illustration Monument To The Fallen Sailor shows the lighthouse of the same name, which does not fulfill its original purpose and today is part of a neglected part of the city of Split, not far from the center.
